About Us

Troop 149 has been active in West Linn since 1949. We provide an opportunity for boys to make new friends, enjoy the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, learn leadership skills, and serve their community.

The troop meets weekly each Wednesday from 7:40pm - 9:00pm at the Sunset Fire Hall in West Linn.

We aim to go camping at least 11 times per year, generally on the 3rd weekend of each month except December.

We annually attend a week long summer camp at one of the fantastic facilities available to us in Oregon and Washington. In 2017 we will be going to Camp Parsons on Hood Canal in Washington.

We have an active High Adventure unit for scouts 14 and older. In 2015, scouts chose between a bike & kayak tour in the San Juan Islands or a week long sailing adventure on a 90 foot boat.  2016 Canoeing Waldo Lake and Caving in Central Oregon.  2017 Deschutes River Whitewater Rafting.

Troop 149 is sponsored by the West Linn Lions Club.
